Hi, I'm Emily, and I want to share the story of how my two incredible furry friends inspired me to create PetixoPets, my online store at petixopets.com 🐾❤️. Living in the bustling suburbs of Toronto, Canada, I've always had a deep love for animals 🐶🐱. A few years back, I rescued my lively dog, Max 🐶, and my cheeky cat, Tom 🐱, from a local shelter. Right from the start, they were an unlikely but perfect pair—Max with his endless enthusiasm and wagging tail, and Tom with his sly pounces and curious antics. They'd race through the backyard together, playfully tussle over toys, curl up in shared sunbeams for lazy afternoons ☀️, and even collaborate on "adventures" like hunting for hidden treats around the house. Their bond was pure magic ✨, filling my home with laughter and warmth, but it also highlighted some challenges I couldn't ignore.
As much as they thrived on each other's company, our hectic routine took a toll. Whenever I stepped out for work or errands, Max and Tom would turn restless—pacing endlessly, scratching at the furniture out of boredom, and showing signs of separation anxiety that broke my heart 💔. I felt terrible leaving them like that, knowing they deserved a way to stay engaged, stimulated, and calm even when I wasn't around. That's when the idea struck me: why not create something to help pets like mine? Drawing from my own experiences with Max and Tom's playful friendship and their struggles, I launched PetixoPets in 2023 🚀. Specializing in simple, effective toys and relaxation aids for cats and dogs, we ship to fellow pet lovers across Canada and the UK, and we've already brought joy to over 6000 customers.
